Who could have foreseen that 2007 would be the year of the unplanned pregnancy at the multiplex? And who could have foreseen that, as the year progressed, the films dealing with this topic would be increasingly bold in expressing their implicitly pro-life—not "anti-choice," but certainly pro-life—sensibilities? and most meaningful of the lot. The film stars Ellen Page as the youngest mother of them all, a whip-smart high-school student named Juno MacGuff who discovers that she is in the family way after a single sexual experience with her best friend and bandmate, a semi-dorky track star named Paulie Bleeker ( Michael Cera).

The film's early scenes play on the idea that teenagers these days have become quite casual about sexual matters—Juno's friend Leah (Olivia) offers to call the abortion clinic for her, just like she did for one of their friends, but things take an unexpected turn when Juno shows up at the clinic itself. Standing outside is a classmate named Su-Chin (Valerie Tian), who holds a pro-life placard and chants, insistently but not aggressively, "All babies want to get borned!"Juno is the first film written by Diablo- Cody, a blogger and former stripper who knows how to come up with hip, clever lines and so-old-they're-cool-again pop-culture references Note to those who may be drawn to the movie by the pro-life elements: It would be a stretch to say that Cody or Reit man intended this to be a "socially conservative" film. Juno and her friends are still teenagers, with all that that implies, though the jokes they tell never stray outside PG-13 territory. (This isn't a crass Judd Apa tow film, in other words.) Also, it is worth noting that, when all is said and done, neither Juno nor her child end up in a traditional family, as such. But in a way, that just underscores the film's implicit pro-life sensibility. Life is life, and deserves to be nurtured, even—if not especially—when everything around it is broken.

There are some funny movies and then there are Jason Friedberg/Aaron Seltzer movies. Generally I’m lucky if their films give me the slightest urge to laugh, but as I sat watching their latest attempt at a spoof I came to realize that the two are actually providing movie-goers an incredibly important service. By showing audiences how excruciating, asinine, nauseating, hateful, unbearable, predictable and downright crappy a comedy can be, it makes us appreciate the good comedies that much more.

Obviously someone out there loves their spoof projects (of which there are four: Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie and now Meet The Spartans) because they make good money at the box office. Or, maybe it’s just the result of brilliant marketing. By seeing all forty-five seconds of slightly amusing material in the trailer, audiences assume the rest of the movie must be pretty funny too, thereby being lured into spending ten dollars on the cinematic equivalent of an enema.
At 84 minutes the movie feels short (not that I’m complaining by any means). I suspect there will be hours of material on the DVD that didn’t make it into the final cut; not because the movie couldn’t have been longer, but because it was just too stupid (or offensive) to be included. After the witless and humorless disaster that was Epic Movie I couldn’t conceive how Friedberg and Seltzer could have done worse. Leave it to them to make it happen.

A storm and the year's highest tide combine to give London a bath in this soggy disaster yarn starring Robert Carlyle, Tom Courtenay, Joanne Whalley and David Suchet

Flood wasn't helped by the fact that the flooding seen in the film was echoed in real -life during the lost summer of 2007, when unprecedented rainfall and rivers breaking their banks devastated huge areas of England. The producers and distributors handling Flood obviously didn't know quite how to respond resulting in no press previews and a very limited cinema release over all. Restricted access to the film also reflects the fact that it's rubbish.

Despite a good cast and some convincing CGI realisations of London's landmarks surrounded by flood waters, Flood is just deeply silly. It's a film full of important people standing with their hands on their hips and shouting at screens , while other characters get emotional with estranged loved ones, and Met Office staff take the blame for not warning anybody. Totally the movie can be watched once and not so upto our expectations.

I'm Not There is a 2007 biographical film inspired by the life of musician Bob Dylan. It depicts the iconic singer-songwriter through seven distinct stages of his life by using six different actors (Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere, and Cate Blanchett), though all six characters have names other than Bob Dylan.[1] It was co-written and directed by Todd Haynes and also features David Cross, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, and Richie Havens.

The film tells its story using non-traditional techniques, similar to the poetic narrative style of Dylan's songwriting. It takes its name from the Dylan outtake "I'm Not There", which was never officially released until being included on the film's official soundtrack album.

The Dark Knight
Release Date: July 18, 2008
Talent: Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Aaron Eckhart, Christopher Nolan (Director)
Synopsis: Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.
The Buzz: Part of it may be the fanboy inside of me, the other part might be the brilliant web of viral marketing being spun by the folks at Warner Brothers, but there is 2008 release that can get here any sooner than The Dark Knight. Christian Bale is back and as badass as ever in the (nippleless) batsuit and Heath Ledger is slowly transforming into the Joker that we never knew he could be. Mark my words, The Dark Knight is going to rule the summer box office.

While Ben is presenting new information about John Wilkes Booth and the 18 pages missing from Booth's diary, one man stands up and presents a missing page of John Wilkes Booth's diary. Thomas Gates, Ben's great-grandfather, is mentioned in the page. It shows that Ben's great-grandfather could have been a person involved with Abraham Lincoln's murder. When doing more research, the conspiracy takes Ben, Abigail, and Riley to Buckingham Palace(which they break into). It takes them to a book in the White House(which they break into also)and they even steal a page from the book. But in order to see more from the book, their choice is either get elected president or kidnap the President of the United States. Which do they choose? It's obvious. The conspiracy then crosses to Mount Rushmore and they even mention the JFK conspiracy. Could Ben clear his family's name? Or will his family be known as the descendant of Abraham Licoln's murderer?

BILLA 2007 - the remake of BILLA , is declared a super hit after showing housefull five days all around the state. The movie starring ultimate star Ajith Kumar ,Nayan thara, Namitha and Prabhu is come well with a strong story(same as the old billa starring Superstar RAjini kanth) and the director Vishnu Vardhan provided a cool screenplay with more technical efforts. It is declared as the best movie with technical efforts so far.
After giving some flops ,Ajith is back into the track with this movie as he had worked hard in a dual role and make it to be a hit. The openings of the movie make the movie to make some good business all over the state and i am sure that it will run for at least 75 days in all theatres . The movie is a cool entertainer with fully loaded stuff excepting the songs. However the "My name is Billa" song creates some applaudes among the audience . Watch the movie in theaters and enjoy

Here is a cyclone brewing in India’s animation film industry, after the ‘Hanuman’ took the Indian film industry by the storm. Many animation films are taking shape in the studios, with big budgets riding on them and industry insiders claim always that close to 10 such films will be ready for release in India soon in 2008.

Yash raj Films Ltd in alliance with The WaltDisney Studios has finished 60% work on its first animation film ‘Road side Romeo’, slated for release in later June 2008. Shemaroo has also finished work on ‘Ghatothkach’, its second animation film after the movie‘Bal Ganesh’. Govind Nihalani is working on ‘Kamlu’, his first animation film, and has lined up three other animation projects after that.

Apart from the big banners, a hand ful of other studios are also busy designing characters on their story boards for an animated movie.
Yashraj Films chairman Yash Chopra said animation has a huge business potential and India needs some good products.
“We have seen the success of animations films. We have just stepped into this field and hope to give a good product,” he said.

Yashraj’s film will be a full fledged 3D animated feature film, with all the elements of a Bollywood flick. The lead character is a dog and it will have the usual masala expected from that banner. So, Mr Chopra explained: “We will have everything like songs, romance, fights etc like a Bollywood film. Jugal Hansraj is directing the film.”

While he declined to give investment details, he admitted the amount involved is ‘huge’. The likes of Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Javed Jafri will give their voices to these animated characters. Though Mr Chopra was cautious, saying Yashraj’s future animation projects will be decided after the release of ‘Roadside Romeo’, it is learnt that the tie-up between Yashraj and Walt Disney extends to more films in the series.

Govind , Nihalani-the director known for critically acclaimed films like ‘Dev’ and `Thakshak’, has also turned to animation and is currently concentrating on his forthcoming 3-D animation film ‘Kamlu’. This is the first of four animation films he has lined up. Mr Nihalani said he is investing close to $3 million (about Rs 12 crore) in his maiden animation film, ‘Kamlu’, with a promise of making it something big and giving something for everyone.

After acting in a JAMES BOND movie that peaks the box office last year .Daniel Craig is back to the action with another action packed entertainer -THE GOLDEN COMPASS. The story goes around the mysteries that can be solved with a help of the Alethiometer i.e the golden compass. Daniel craig and Nicole kidman did their part well and hats off th their acting . This movie also features Ben walker and Dakota and they did well with their part .The movie shows some cool experience ,but the way of telling the story was poor and it ruined all the efforts taken by all the artists. Other than this ,Golden Compass is a nice movie to watch with out looking around any logic beyond the story line .Hope you all will enjoy this movie a lot .See the movie in theaters .Will see you again with another movie's review .Bye
